Welcome

WELCOME TO SKETTY METHODIST CHURCH

Coming into a new church is sometimes a little daunting. We hope that this web site will give you some of the facts you need to know to make you feel more comfortable about coming to join us in worship and fellowship. If you havn’t been to a Methodist Church before, you may have lots of questions about worship and what to expect. If you are familiar with the pattern of worship, you may have questions to ask about house groups and various other events that go on during the week. Please look at the other pages on this site, which may help to answer some of your queries.

You will find us a warm, welcoming Church, with a mixture of all ages, and people from a variety of backgrounds. Some worshippers live locally, others travel some distance to join us for worship because they have been made to feel so welcome when they first visited us. We have many activities during the week to help you and your family to enter into the fellowship of the Church. Sunday worship is the focal point of the week with services in the morning and the evening. The evening services are held with our friends from Bethel United Reformed Church in our building. United services with the other churches in Sketty are also held occasionally.

If you wish, we can arrange for someone to sit with you on your first visit to our Church. Alternatively you may wish to look around the Church with one of our members prior to worshipping with us on a Sunday. If you would like to do either of these, please telephone Gary - 429926.

We are all travelling individual paths of faith, and everyone is at a different stage in their personal relationship with God. Central to our faith is the knowledge of God’s love, and that is freely available for every single person. In Sketty Methodist Church we hope you will grow and develop in your faith at whatever stage you are.
