The Methodist Church in Swansea and Gower is committed to our Youth. There are uniformed organisations such as Scouts, Cubs, Beavers, Brownies and Guides, as well as less formal clubs for children and teenagers. Many of our churches still have thriving work with children on Sundays, but traditional “Sunday Schools” have been replaced by “Adventurers”, “Comet Club” and “Junior Church”. The Swansea and Gower Methodist Church is committed to providing a safe environment in which children can learn and grow.
In our Penlan Church we provide activities for parents with young children as well as tea and chat, line dancing and Fit Kids groups.
The work of our ministers is not confined to the churches. Our staff team is involved in a number of chaplaincies - to the Prison, the University and the R.A.F.
We are developing new work with refugees and assylum seekers in Swansea. All our staff are regular hospital visitors and are glad to speak to any patient or relative who needs a listening ear.
