FAIRTRADE TOWNS/CITIES
For more information visit www.fairtrade.org.uk/towns
How can towns/cities be successful in Fairtrade?
* Contact your local nwspaper and radio
* Lobby and support your local council
* Highlight local events, nws and local suppliers
* Hand out Fairtrade leaflets locally
* Hold events - coffee mornings, tea parties etc.,
* Persuade your supermarkets to stock Fairtrade goods
* Bust those Fairtrade myths - People often think that Fairtrade products are more expensive. Explain that Fairtrade is about people and giving farmers in poor countries the opportunities we take for granted
