Adventurers
ADVENTURERS
In 2000 our Sunday School was renamed ADVENTURERS.
Children and Young People have been at the forefront of our outreach here for over 150 years. Many of the Adventurers are children of church attenders, but not all. New children are always welcome. We cater for children aged form 3 years to 13+.
GROUPS RENAMED
Beginners - nursery and lower Infant ages
Primary - spans the top age group of the Infants School - youngest classes in Junior School (in “day” school)
Middle - spans the top of the Junior School to lower Comprehensive School
Senior - spans - upper classes in Comp
YPF - 16+ (as well as meeting on Sunday mornings, YPF also meets regularly on Sunday evenings)
The Adventurers follow Scripture Union SALT (Sharing and Learning Together) lesson notes, with appropriate puzzle pages, games, quizzes, drama, Bible readings etc.,
During the summer holidays we have open sessions for all ages. Each year volunteers, not usually associated with Adventurers, take these classes to give the regular leaders a well earned rest.
A lending/reference library is available in the Sparklers room for teachers, worship leaders and anyone else who may be interested in using it.
